Senator Fuschillo Participates in Levy-Lakeside Elementary School’s Community Read Aloud Celebration

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Levy-Lakeside Elementary School in Merrick to serve as a guest reader to Ms. Eisman’s kindergarten class. Senator Fuschillo read to the class as part of Levy-Lakeside’s annual Community Read Aloud Celebration. 

     Senator Fuschillo read “Whoever You Are” by Mem Fox and Leslie Staub to the class. The book helps children learn about the importance of equality and tolerance by teaching them about the similarities we all share.  Senator Fuschillo also talked to the children about his job as a New York State Senator and how new laws are made.
