Senator Fuschillo Secures State Funding for New Educational Technology at Farmingdale Library

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that he has secured state funding for the Farmingdale Library to purchase new educational technology for its child patrons. 

     The Library purchased 4 new iPads and security cables for the workstation in the Library’s children section. Each iPad is loaded with interactive educational apps which teach children about subjects such as math, science, reading, writing, and problem solving in a fun way. According to the Library, the new iPads are extremely popular and heavily utilized by children from the Farmingdale community.

     “The Farmingdale Library is providing a great service to the community with these new iPads. Using this engaging, interactive technology, they are helping children learn in a fun and exciting way,” said Senator Fuschillo. 

     “The iPad is a great interactive device that can bring a children's story to life. Even the youngest child finds it natural to swipe through the iPad screens. Having the iPads in the library provides access to a technology that may not be available in the homes of many children in the community,” said Farmingdale Library Director Debbie Podolski.
