Mobile Legal Help Center Will Offer Free Legal Assistance to Residents in Need
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Senator Phil Boyle (R-Bay Shore) today announced that they will be sponsoring a program in Wyandanch to provide free legal services to those in need.
Senator Fuschillo and Senator Boyle have arranged to bring the Mobile Legal Help Center to the Wyandanch Library, located at 14 South 20th Street in Wyandanch, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Office of Court Administration, brings free, civil legal services directly into communities.
NYLAG staff will be available to provide free legal assistance to local residents on issues related to:
• Medicaid
• Medicare
• Social Security
• Foreclosure
• Family Health Plus/Child Health Plus
• Family Law
Individuals should bring with them any documentation related to their situation that may be useful to the NYLAG staff in providing assistance. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted and served as time permits.
Residents who would like more information about the free legal services program on May 15th or would like to make an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630 or Senator Boyle’s Office at 631-669-9200.
