Senator Fuschillo to Sponsor Free Cost Prostate Cancer Screening Program in Freeport

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with South Nassau Communities Hospital, will be sponsoring a free prostate cancer screening program on Thursday, September 12th in Freeport.
Screenings will be conducted on September 12th between 4 and 7 pm at the Freeport Recreation Center, which is located at 130 East Merrick Road in Freeport.
All men are welcome to get screened as part of the free program, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Screenings will include a PSA blood test. Men who will be getting screened must bring with them a photo ID containing an address, such as a driver’s license. Participants will be notified of the exam results. Men who have a primary care physician who they would like to have notified about the exam results should bring that physician’s name and contact information.
Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. Screening appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Men who would like to schedule an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
