Senator Fuschillo to Sponsor Free Prostate Cancer Screening Program in Roosevelt

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with South Nassau Communities Hospital, will be sponsoring a free prostate cancer screening program on Saturday, May 18th in Roosevelt.

     Screenings will be conducted on May 18th between 11 am and 2 pm at the Roosevelt Library, which is located at 27 West Fulton Avenue in Roosevelt.

     All men are welcome to get screened as part of the program, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Screenings will include a PSA blood test. Men who will be getting screened must bring with them a photo ID containing an address, such as a driver’s license. Participants will be notified of the exam results. Men who have a primary care physician should bring that physician’s name and contact information so that they can be notified of the exam results as well.

     Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. Screening appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Men who would like to schedule an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
