Senator Fuschillo Statement on Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address

“Governor Cuomo’s State of the State speech prioritized what I believe remain the most important issues facing our state; working together to create jobs and grow our economy.
Governor Cuomo has proposed a number of initiatives which would build on the success of the last two years, where we worked together in a bipartisan manner to cut income taxes for middle class families, enact two consecutive on-time budgets which closed multi-billion dollar budget deficits without raising taxes and fees, and implement new economic development initiatives to grow our economy and put people back to work. These are exactly the type of steps we need to take to ensure New York State continues to move in the right direction.
The Governor has also prioritized recovering and rebuilding after Hurricane Sandy and better preparing New York for future disasters, all of which are important given the devastation Hurricane Sandy caused to our communities.
I look forward to reviewing the details of all of the Governor’s proposals, starting with the release of his Executive Budget proposal later this month.”
