The New York State Safe Child Card gives parents a convenient way to keep their children’s important information on a single, wallet sized ID card. The card includes the child’s:

     • Name

     • Date of birth

     • Gender

     • Height

     • Weight

     • Hair Color

     • Eye Color

     • Fingerprint image of both index fingers

Safe Child Cards will be printed and processed on site and parents will be able to take the cards home with them right from the event. Parents will also have the voluntary option to share the information on the card with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice’s Amber Alert and Missing Child Alert program.

Parents who have questions or need additional information about the Child ID card program on October 22nd can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
