Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) today announced that his office is hosting its first annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Rockland County, a family friendly experience that offers the chance to learn and appreciate more about New York State’s rich Irish heritage. Event organizers have characterized the unforgettable evening as “A Night of Irish Culture.”
The festivities will be held this Friday, March 8th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at historic Emmett’s Castle, located at the Blue Hill Golf Course, 285 Blue Hill Road in Pearl River.
“Rockland County has always served as a longstanding and proud home to thousands of Irish Americans, and what better way to show our admiration than holding a party that the entire community can enjoy,” said Senator Carlucci. “Come out, bring the kids, and don’t miss the opportunity to have night of fun-filled treats for everyone to partake in.”
Entertainment will be provided direct from Ireland by “The Raging Hornpipes," a band playing all of your favorite Irish tunes and melodies for the family to enjoy. Complimentary appetizers will also be offered to all guest attendees.
Both Senator David Carlucci and Orangetown Town Supervisor Andy Stewart will read and present an official Proclamation signifying March as Irish American Heritage Month in the State of New York and in the Town of Orangetown, respectively.
Residents interested in attending are asked to RSVP for the event by calling Senator Carlucci’s office at (845) 623-3627.
