Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) today visited the Hi-Tor Animal Care Center to provide a charitable contribution of over 100 items to pets in need, including toys, food, cleaning supplies, blankets, and more. He was greeted by dedicated Hi-Tor staff personnel, enthusiastic animal lovers, and a plethora of cats and dogs awaiting their next loving, adopting owner.
“The response amount of support among animal lovers everywhere was truly incredible, and I look forward to working with Hi-Tor in the ways to help so many animals in need,” said Senator Carlucci.
Back in May, Senator Carlucci launched his very first “Sit, Stay, Give” Pet Food and Toy Supply Drive in partnership with the Hi Tor Animal Care Center. The supply drive netted an overwhelming number of participants throughout the month of May, with all receivable items provided to the animal care center.
Founded in 1973, Hi Tor Animal Care Center is the only animal care and control shelter in Rockland County that takes in approximately 2,500 animals each year. The mission of Hi Tor Animal Care Center is to preserve and improve animal life, to promote responsible pet adoption and ownership, and to provide humane treatment for all animals in our care.
