Senator Carlucci to Host Senior Advisory Committee Meeting

NANUET, NY – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) tomorrow will kick off his first Senior Advisory Committee meeting of this New Year, which will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Nanuet Library, located at 149 Church Street, Nanuet. The meeting is a chance for participants to address a range of issues and concerns affecting senior citizens throughout the Hudson Valley.  Ultimately, the goal is to translate these ideas into legislative action in Albany.

Recently named Chairman of the Senate Mental Health Committee, Senator Carlucci will address topics that include affording prescription drug medication, hospital admission and improving quality patient care, affordable mental health services for the elderly, and offering volunteer transportation opportunities for seniors and veterans through the Rockland Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).  He also will discuss ideas for hosting his next Senior Technology Seminar, a program launched last year that provides seniors with new skills about using computer and internet services.
