ALBANY, NY - Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) on Monday welcomed students, teachers, and administrators from Ossining High School and the Ossining Board of Education to Albany for a tour of the State Capitol. Visitors who met up with the Senator had the chance to observe the historic Senate chamber where the upper house of the state legislature conducts its daily business.
The Senator also spoke about the importance of receiving a high school education and how this can translate into future success stories down the road.
"Part of what my job entails is making sure that our schools, teachers, and administrators have the tools that they need to give every child a quality education," said Senator Carlucci. "I look forward to partnering with the Ossining educational community and being a strong voice and advocate for your needs."
Among those who attended also included student Intel Science Talent Search Semi-Finalists for their work and projects in the engineering and broader science field. The Intel Science Talent Search (STS) is the nation’s most prestigious science research competition for high school seniors.
