Statement From Senate Co-Leader Dean G. Skelos
Dean G. Skelos
June 24, 2013
I agree with Governor Cuomo and leading women’s groups that the Speaker should bring his members back to Albany to complete work on the 9 agreed-upon bills that make up our women’s equality agenda.
New York stands at the doorstep of achieving historic new laws that will guarantee equal pay for equal work, protect the victims of domestic violence, end human trafficking and stamp out sexual harassment wherever it exists. These nine measures will improve the lives of countless women throughout our state, and it’s time for the Speaker to swiftly join us in enacting each of them into law.
