Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the 49th Senatorial District!
Thanksgiving not only commemorates the Pilgrims' celebration of the fruitful crops of 1621, but it is also a day of giving thanks for everything we are grateful for in our daily lives -- it's a time to stop, smell the roses and think about what is truly precious to us.
I'm sure you are like me when I say I give thanks for my lovely family and terrific friends. And we are all thankful for the roofs over our heads and the bountiful meals we receive every day.
Please take a few minutes this year at your Thanksgiving feast and remember the soldiers overseas who cannot be at their families' dinner table. Say a few words of thanks to them for keeping us free and allowing us to maintain our lifestyles.
