Senator Jack M. Martins along with other elected officials including Town of North Hempstead Clerk Leslie Gross, Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio and Councilman Angelo Ferrara met a home of June Bleich in Manhasset Hills to discuss how best to serve cancer patients.
“The personal stories of hope, perseverance and courage are an inspiration for the millions of women and families struggling with the scourge of cancer. Banding together—from elected officials to healthcare professionals to our wonderful nonprofit groups and to all who lend their time and effort, and support— we will never stop until we have a cure.”
It all started May 8th at a Look Good…Feel Better demonstration sponsored by Town Clerk Gross. “Look Good…Feel Better" is free, national public service program that helps women cancer patients improve their appearance and self-image by teaching them hands-on beauty techniques to overcome the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments."
The reunion not only offers all parties an opportunity to reconnect but it enables our concerned elected officials a chance to hear what more they can do to assist cancer patients.
