Senator Jack M. Martins recently met with school superintendents and assistant superintendents from around the Seventh Senate District to go over how the newly enacted state budget and how it will affect school district budgets that will be going out for a vote next month.
Senator Martins and the school superintendents discussed state aid for education being increased as well as the cost drivers that school districts are facing and the challenges of continuing to provide excellent educational programs during challenging economic times. Senator Martins and the school officials will be working together to benefit the communities throughout the Seventh Senate District.
Senator Martins has maintained a close relationship with the superintendents and boards of education throughout the Seventh Senate District in order to provide support to the school districts that will directly benefit the students of every community.
