State Senator John A. DeFrancisco, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, announced that $3.3 million in state funding will be allocated for a road and bridge project in the Town of Manlius.
The project would replace the North Burdick Street Bridge over the Old Erie Canal, which is located at the intersection of North Burdick Street and Cedar Bay Road. The investment will be funded through the New York Works State Highway and Bridge Project Acceleration Program for 2013-14.
“Road and bridge projects invest in the safety of our communities, while creating jobs and stimulating the economy,” said Senator DeFrancisco. “I am pleased to have been able to help secure funding for the North Burdick Street Bridge project in the Town of Manlius to improve our transportation infrastructure.”
