State Senator John A. DeFrancisco (R,I,C) was recognized last week as a “Guardian of Small Business” by Mike Durant, New York State Director of the National Federation of Independent Business in New York. (NFIB)
“Senator DeFrancisco was one of an elite list of legislators to receive the highest award given by the NFIB for his strong support of New York's small and independent business owners, job creators and entrepreneurs. The Senator’s advocacy on issues like tax relief and regulatory reform have helped to improve the business climate in New York state,” said Durant.
As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator DeFrancisco advocates for fiscal responsibility in our state, and his record shows that he introduces and supports legislation that helps small and independent businesses.
"I am honored to be recognized by the business community for my legislative efforts on their behalf. Businesses are the economic engine for job growth in our state. In order to replace the manufacturing jobs that have been lost here, we need to create a business climate that will help businesses to succeed in our state,” said Senator DeFrancisco.
The NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy association, whose mission is to promote and protect the right of business owners to operate and grow their businesses.
