State Senator John A. DeFrancisco (R-I-C, Syracuse) will host his ninth annual Senior Fair on Tuesday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Horticulture Building at the New York State Fairgrounds. This informational event is FREE and open to all Central New York senior citizens and their caregivers, who are searching for local programs and services.
“My ninth annual Senior Fair will bring nearly 100 exhibitors together under one roof, so seniors can readily learn about the various local resources that are available to them to improve their quality of life,“ said Senator DeFrancisco.
During today’s Senior Fair, representatives from state and local organizations will be on hand to speak directly with seniors to provide them with valuable information on health care, long-term housing, recreation, transportation, safety, and many other important issues. The event also will offer free health screenings, as well as door prizes, light refreshments and live music.
“Year after year, senior citizens tell me how helpful my Senior Fair is to them. So I look forward to once again holding this event to help them obtain the answers they need and deserve,” concluded Senator DeFrancisco.
