Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently visited the students of The Jewish Academy in East Northport to discuss his role in New York State Government. The East Northport school, founded in 2004, is a nursery through grade 6 educational center and is the only Jewish Day School in Suffolk County.
While at the school, Senator Flanagan spoke with a group of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students about his background and described a senator’s role in government. They ended the meeting with the children asking Senator Flanagan questions about the Senate.
“Thank you to the Jewish Academy and its students for their invitation and their hospitality. The students made this visit very enjoyable and their questions were well prepared as well as interesting. I look forward to coming back to visit them again in the future,” stated Senator Flanagan.
