(East Harlem, NY)- Senator Serrano and Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman celebrated the holiday spirit by serving Thanksgiving dinner at the New York Common Pantry in East Harlem. The New York Common Pantry is a community-based food pantry dedicated to reducing hunger by providing New Yorkers with meals.
"It is devastating to know that so many individuals and families are suffering from hunger, especially during the holidays," said Senator Serrano. "It was a pleasure to be able to share the holiday spirit and serve Thanksgiving dinner to those who otherwise would not have had a hot meal. I admire the wonderful work that The New York Common Pantry is doing in providing needy New Yorkers with nutritious and delicious food. I encourage everyone to volunteer for such a great cause," concluded Serrano.
