(Bronx, NY) - Senator Serrano marched in the annual Bronx Dominican parade, which took place along the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The parade, which is widely attended by thousands of people across all nationalities, honors and celebrates the history and culture of the Dominican people.
"This parade is a great opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the contributions made by people of Dominican descent," said Senator Serrano. "The number of Dominican constituents in my district is constantly growing and I am honored to celebrate their history and presence. One of the many things that makes New York special is its cultural diversity, and it is an honor to march in this parade and be reminded of the offerings Dominicans have made to New York and our country."
Senator Serrano marched in the parade along with his father, Congressman José E. Serrano, in addition to community leaders, elected officials, union members, performers and athletes, and thousands of cheering residents along the Grand Concourse.
