Griffo noted that the one-stop, drive-thru event is ideal for family households who need to safely get rid of environmentally –sensitive waste.
Griffo said that Time Warner Cable volunteers will again be on-hand to supervise and coordinate the hundreds of cars that are expected to stop in.
“I’m pleased to be working again with several community partners who have proven experience in these specialized types of responsible recycling and disposal, “Griffo said. “Confidata is an upstate industry leader in data destruction. Sunnking Electronics will be on site to accept old or unwanted computers and electronics. And since left-over drugs in our homes can contribute to potentially fatal recreational or accidental misuse, as well as environmental damage to our waterways when disposed of improperly, Town of New Hartford Police officers will be there to take household medications.”
