New free services and vendors announced for the Golden Gathering being sponsored by Senator Kathleen Marchione on Saturday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Columbia-Greene Community College

New York State Senator Kathleen A. Marchione (R,C-Halfmoon) today shared some of new services, along with vendors and service providers, that will be available at, and taking part in, her sponsored Golden Gathering, a community-based health, wellness and quality of life event for senior citizens being held on Saturday, October 12, from  9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Columbia-Greene Community College. The Golden Gathering is being cosponsored by Columbia-Greene Community College, is open to the entire Columbia County community, and will feature many important free services including:

• Flu Shot Clinic (please bring your health care card), free flu shots for uninsured sponsored by Mid-Hudson Cable
• Free blood pressure screenings, vision screenings, safety tips and much more
• Information on the Enhanced STAR Program for senior citizen homeowners provided by the Columbia County Real Property Tax Department
• Free tote bag, free refreshments and free door prizes for attendees
• “Golden Zumba” demonstration
• Car seat safety checks for grandparents, courtesy of the Hudson Police Department
• Entertainment provided by the Philmont Community Choir and Rip Van Winkle Brass Ensemble
