New free services and vendors announced for the Golden Gathering being sponsored by Senator Kathleen Marchione on Saturday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Columbia-Greene Community College

New York State Senator Kathleen A. Marchione (R,C-Halfmoon) today shared some of new services, along with vendors and service providers, that will be available at, and taking part in, her sponsored Golden Gathering, a community-based health, wellness and quality of life event for senior citizens being held on Saturday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Columbia-Greene Community College. The Golden Gathering is being cosponsored by Columbia-Greene Community College, is open to the entire Columbia County community, and will feature many important free services including:
- Flu Shot Clinic (please bring your health care card), free flu shots for uninsured sponsored by Mid-Hudson Cable
- Free blood pressure screenings, vision screenings, safety tips and much more
- Information on the Enhanced STAR Program for senior citizen homeowners provided by the Columbia County Real Property Tax Department
- Free tote bag, free refreshments and free door prizes for attendees
- “Golden Zumba” demonstration
- Car seat safety checks for grandparents, courtesy of the Hudson Police Department
- Entertainment provided by the Philmont Community Choir and Rip Van Winkle Brass Ensemble
The Golden Gathering will also feature over 75 vendors and service providers including, but not limited to, the following:
