Senator Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) today announced his district office will be holding special satellite office hours at town halls in the 60th District in an effort to interact with constituents as part of his “Bringing State Government To You” approach to representing his district that spans from Grand Island to Brant.
The new dates and times reflect a change in Grisanti’s previous efforts to interacting with the residents of his district, which includes the towns of Grand Island, Tonawanda, Orchard Park, Hamburg, Evans and Brant as well as the City of Tonawanda.
“These opportunities to meet with a member of my staff will help establish easy and efficient communication between my district office and my constituents,” said Senator Grisanti. “There is no cost to the taxpayer as I reach out to constituents and bring state government to their community.”
A member of the senator’s staff will be present to answer any questions or address any concerns that they may have about state-related issues. Various forms, informational brochures and contact information will also be available.
Grisanti had previously held satellite office hours during the day but found that interaction with constituents resulted in a desire for office hours to be held later in the day to better suit the needs of those who are employed and work during the day.
“We had people ask for hours that better met their busy schedules, so we will be able to serve people who want to stop by on their way home from work or make arrangements for child care,” said Senator Grisanti. “We are also going to have a staff member in the Town of Brant once a month on a Saturday morning, which gives residents of that community a chance to stop by on the weekend.”
