Senator Mark Grisanti(R,I-60) was successful in his fight to increase CHIPS funding for the 60th Senate District. The New York State Senate today concluded its passage of the 2013-14 state budget that delivers an on time budget with CHIPS (Consolidated Highway Improvement Projects) increases in every single City, Town and Village located in Senator Grisanti's district. The increase is over $1.162 Million from the previous year.
"I am proud to announce that every City, Town and Village in my district received an increase in CHIPS funding. Since day one it has been about bringing jobs and resources back to Western New York. I will never stop fighting for Western New York," said Senator Mark Grisanti.
The breakdown below is the increase in funding from 2012 for the 60th Senate District.
Towns:
Town of Brant- $5,500
Town of Evans- $32,080
Town of Grand Island- $ 25,563
Town of Hamburg- $ 58,785
Town of Orchard Park- $32,490
Town of Tonawanda- $ 86,079
Total: $ 240,497
Villages:
Angola- $11,819
Farnham- $1,942
Hamburg- $30,330
Kenmore- $33,548
Orchard Park- $13,449
Total: $91,088
Cities:
City of Tonawanda- $65,557
City of Buffalo -$765,306
Total: $830,863
