Senator Mark Grisanti Receives ‘Boys And Girls Town of Italy’ Man Of The Year Award

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti has been named the Boys and Girls Town of Italy 2013 Man of the Year award recipient.
Senator Grisanti will be honored for his dedication to charitable causes and for his support of Boys and Girls Town of Italy WNY Chapter at the organization’s 50th annual gala at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 11 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.
“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this award,” said Senator Grisanti. “I feel it is very important to be involved in your community and be a role model for children. I encourage others to get involved and become active in their community, whether it be by volunteering at your church, serving as a coach for a sports team or joining a civic organization. Everyone can help to make a difference and improve the conditions of their neighborhood if they just get involved.”
Senator Grisanti supports numerous non-profit organizations in North Buffalo, where he resides, as well as other groups based throughout Western New York. His contributions including sponsorship of local youth sports teams and attending special events hosted by a multitude of charity organizations.
Senator Grisanti attends St. Rose Church. He is a member of the Erie County Bar Association, the Delaware Club, the Italian-American Police Association, the Assigned Counsel Program, the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the New York State Troopers Association, the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association, and the Police Athletic League. He is also a longtime contributor to St. Rose of Lima Church, St. Anthony of Padua Church and the Canisius College Alumni Association.
In addition to this honor, Senator Grisanti has received numerous other honors, including certificates of appreciation from the Erie County Bar Association, the American Heart Association, BornHava and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Also scheduled to be honored at Monday night’s ceremony as the Boys and Girls Town of Italy 2013 Woman of the Year is Paula Feroleto, the District Administrative Judge for the 8th Judicial District of New York.
