WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SERVE BAY RIDGE
Dear Friends,
One of our goals at Cornerstone Church is to make a tangible, positive difference in our community through serving and meeting needs. You've probably even seen our volunteers out and about in the community wearing shirts that say "SERVE" as they pick up trash, paint fire hydrants, and clean up local parks.
As we move into the fall, one of the ways we are planning to continue to SERVE is by hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for some underprivileged families in Bay Ridge. On Saturday, November 16, we are seeking to offer a hot, gourmet meal and a box of groceries to 12 families in our area. We have already identified a location for cooking the meal and hosting our dinner, the food has been donated, and our volunteers are being prepped. What we are lacking is the families to invite.
This is where I need your help. If you are receiving this email, it is because you are recognized as being someone who is also working for the good of the community. I'm asking that if you are able, could you please help me to identify some families who are in need and who would benefit from receiving a meal and some groceries during the upcoming holiday season?
Our church would like to serve those in need. Please let me know if you can help identify some families. And, if you know of anyone, please refer them to me, or send me their contact info in order that I may extend an invite.
Finally, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I know fall can be a busy season for you, so allow me in saying, "Thanks" in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Nathan W. Tubbs
