GOLDEN: PETITION FOR FULL CURB TO CURB RESTORATION OF 92ND STREET, BETWEEN RIDGE BOULEVARD AND 3rd AVENUE, SUBMITTED TO CITY D.E.P.

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he has submitted a petition, signed by more than 70 residents, calling on the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, to complete a full curb to curb restoration of 92nd Street, between Ridge Boulevard and 3rd Avenue.

The street was the site of a major sewer collapse on June 28, 2012, and the project is nearing completion. In addition to the petition circulated by Senator Golden’s office, with the support of Community Board 10 and Councilman Gentile, Golden created an online petition on Causes which attracted over 100 signatures from Brooklyn area residents.

In his letter to Commissioner Carter Strickland, Senator Golden wrote, “Today, the 92nd Street community is asking you, as the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection, to approve such necessary action. The residents deserve to have this street refurbished entirely, and we hope you can approve these accommodations.”
