Hurricane Sandy Volunteers Among Those to Be Recognized for Community Service

Brooklyn- During National Volunteer Week, community residents who have proven to be extraordinary in their volunteerism, dedicated to helping during Hurricane Sandy, special events and community organizations, will be honored at the 2013 Volunteer Appreciation Night hosted by Senator Marty Golden on Thursday April 25, 2013 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Buckley’s Restaurant, 2926 Avenue S, Brooklyn.
More than 50 volunteers will be honored with New York State Senate Certificates for their efforts. Many of the volunteers have both helped with Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts and supported community events.
Members of the media are welcome to attend.
