Senator Golden: 15th Year of Free Income Tax Services for Senior Citizens and Low Income Residents

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today announced that he has made plans to provide free income tax preparation services, for the 15th consecutive year, to senior citizens and residents of his district earning less than $30,000.
Appointments will be available at his district office located at 7408-5th Avenue, on Thursdays and Sundays from February 10th through April 14th. Thursday appointments will be scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and appointments will be scheduled on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Senator Golden stated "My office will again be a site for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which provides a great service to many who meet the qualifications. This is the 15th year, and many customers return to my office each and every year for this free tax preparation service. Appointments are necessary and local residents who would like an opportunity to file their taxes on time and at no charge should contact my office.”
The volunteers who will be providing assistance are college students who are studying accounting at local colleges. Services will be provided by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling Senator Golden’s district office at (718) 238-6044.
