Senator Golden: Eight Local Schools Receive Financial Boost to Improve Technology and Facilities

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he has secured more than $400,000 in State funding for eight schools in his district to support infrastructure and technology requests made by the schools earlier this year.
The following schools have received the grant funding this past week in their school budget accounts:
Intermediate School 228 -Laptops for special education classes
P.S./I.S. 229 - Smartboards and cameras
Intermediate School 259 – Laptop Cart
Public School 102 – Bathroom Renovations
Public School 186 – Smartboards
Intermediate School 201- Wiring of auditorium air conditioning system
Public School 222 - Smartboards
Public School 247 – Laptop Cart
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I am proud to have been able to secure this funding to support the technological and structural needs of our local schools. There is nothing more important than making sure that our students have the best facilities, and the most up to date technology available, so they can be educated in a top rate environment.”
