Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that the Shore Road Parks Conservancy, along with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the City Department of Transportation, and the Fort Hamilton Army Base, have planned a major cleanup effort on Shore Road set for the weekend of October 19th and 20th.
“I am proud to be working with the Shore Road Conservancy, the City of New York and the community to organize a weekend of hard work so to beautify our community. We will work both Saturday and Sunday to showcase the beauty of Shore Road Park. I look forward to the participation of our high school students, and the soldiers from the Fort Hamilton Army Base, and I hope that many Shore Road and Bay Ridge residents get involved in this effort. It’s time to take our parks back and this is the first step,” said Senator Golden.
