Senator Golden: NYC Rapid Repairs Deadline Extended to January 14th
Martin J. Golden
January 2, 2013
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is applauding the City of New York for their decision to extend the NYC Rapid Repairs program application deadline until January 14, 2013 for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "As much of NYC continues to recover and rebuild from Sandy, we must remember that some people who are eligible for the Rapid Repairs Program may have not yet applied. With the deadline having been tonight, I believe Mayor Bloomberg made the right decision in extending the deadline."
Golden continued, "The message today reminds folks in communities such as Gerritsen Beach, Manhattan Beach and Sheepshead Bay, which I represent, and elsewhere in our City, that this program is designed to give you a great start in rebuilding your home. If you have yet to inquire, or to see if your eligible, now is the time."
Residents must apply in person at a restoration center.
