Senator Golden Reminds Residents of Two Upcoming Family Events

Family Day in McKinley Park & A performance by The Italian Opera Company in Bensonhurst Park this week

Brooklyn, NY – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is reminding residents of two free upcoming events for the community. These events will take place this week in Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst, and are an opportunity for residents to enjoy the last few days of summer with family and friends in our local community parks.

This Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 5pm to 7:30pm is the annual Family Day event in McKinley Park. This event will have music, games, rides, and karaoke for the whole family to enjoy.

This Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 6:30pm is A free concert presented by The Italian Opera Company at Bensonhurst Park on Cropsey Avenue and Bay Parkway. This concert will have performances by The Italian Opera Company and The Kings Chorus of Brooklyn Barbershop Harmony Societies.

“All are welcome to enjoy the last few days of summer in our parks,” said Senator Golden. “These events give all of us an opportunity to enjoy the best that our great city has to offer, and I look forward to attending both and enjoying two great evenings in our community.”
