Update from Office of Children and Family Services

The Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) issued an RFP this past Friday for approximately $200 million in federal social services block grant Superstorm Sandy supplemental funding to support eligible health and human service providers cover necessary expenses resulting from Superstorm Sandy. Applicants will have until August 30, 2013 to submit their proposals. Contracts are projected to begin no earlier than September 1, 2013 and funding must be expended no later than September 30, 2015.
An inter-agency committee, including representatives from NYS DOH, OASAS, OGS, OMH, OPWDD and OTDA in addition to OCFS, will review all proposals.
