( Albany, NY) Senator Neil D. Breslin (D-Delmar) is pleased to announce the passage of a bill which will establish incentives and tax credits for investments in solar energy, and extend existing programs.
“Investing in green technologies for New York is crucial to protecting our environment and improving the economy,” Senator Breslin said. “Establishing tax credits and incentives for investment in solar energy will attract large-scale businesses to our state, creating jobs and boosting state revenue.”
The tax credits establish a tax credit program to attract new large-scale qualified solar and battery manufacturing plants to New York State. The bill also extends the Governor’s NY Sun Program for an additional ten years.
“For our state to build a long-term environmentally sound and prosperous economic future, we need to make green technology infrastructure investments now,” Senator Breslin concluded. “These common sense tax credits will to achieve a sustainable future, attract businesses and jobs, and preserve New York’s environment.”
