HENRIETTA- New York State Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, 59th District) joined with Monroe County community leaders and over 50 area residents Wednesday as he formally opened his new Monroe County Satellite Office on Jefferson Road in the Town of Henrietta.
“Constituent communication and interaction is an essential component to effective representation. This new office in the heart of Henrietta will provide area residents with an accessible and open point of contact with our office, and I believe it will allow me to be a better advocate for their interests and the interests of Monroe County in the Senate,” Gallivan said.
The new satellite office is located in the Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority Building at 900 Jefferson Road in Henrietta.
Joining the Senator and members of his staff for the ribbon cutting ceremony were Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, Monroe County Legislator John Howland (R-13th District), Henrietta Town Councilman William Mulligan, and representatives from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Henrietta Ambulance, Heritage Christian Services, Holy Childhood, and the Henrietta Public Library.
Senator Gallivan indicated that the office would be regularly staffed every Thursday in addition to serving as his center of constituent outreach and community operations in Monroe County.
The 59th Senate District is comprised of the Towns of Henrietta and Wheatland in Monroe County, northern Livingston County, all of Wyoming County, and most of southern and eastern Erie County.
Senator Gallivan chairs the Senate Committee on Crime Victims, Crime and Corrections, and is the Deputy Leader of the Republican Conference for Economic Development.
Prior to election to the Senate in 2010, Senator Gallivan was twice elected Sheriff of Erie County, serving from 1998 through 2005. He also served for 15 years as a member of the New York State Police where he spent time assigned to the Henrietta barracks.
