Attendees Connect With Nearly 40 Employers Looking to Hire
More than 250 job seekers packed the Fulton War Memorial Thursday for State Senator Patty Ritchie’s 3rd annual Oswego County Job Fair.
Those in attendance were able to connect with nearly 40 local employers—many of which are looking to hire—and access tips on everything from interview techniques to how to improve your online job search.
“From being able to talk with employers to getting advice on how to improve your job search, this event is truly a one-stop shop for people who are looking for work,” said Senator Ritchie.
“I’m pleased to be able to host this event, and provide people who are searching for a job an opportunity to meet face to face with employers who are looking to hire.”
Last year, more than 1,000 job seekers attended Senator Ritchie’s job fairs in Oswego and St. Lawrence Counties, which included nearly 100 employers. As a result of these events, hundreds of job seekers were able to find work.
Senator Ritchie’s next job fair will take place on September 18th in Ogdensburg. Preregistration for the event will be available soon.
Senator Ritchie encourages those who were not able to attend Thursday’s job fair to visit her Online Jobs Bank, which is available here.
