Public Official and Community Continue to Respond to Sandy Victims' Need
Babylon, NY – State Senator Phil Boyle (R – Bay Shore) recently sponsored a local drive for victims of Superstorm Sandy, accepting donations at his Babylon Village District Office from March 5th through April 5, 2013. Senator Boyle teamed up with Long Island Cares, Inc. to raise food and supplies for victims still struggling to recover from damages caused by the storm.
Senator Boyle’s drive raised over 200 lbs of non-perishable food and needed supplies, which were distributed to those in need. Residents of Senator Boyle’s 4th Senate District were encouraged to drop off non-perishable foods and needed supplies to his Babylon Village office.
“We are so thankful to everyone who generously donated to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy,” said Senator Boyle. “Unfortunately, people are still suffering from the devastating effects of the storm.”
“I hope members of our community will continue their generous support at my upcoming food drive with the Bay Shore Boy Scout Troop 43 as we team up with Long Island Cares, Inc. to collect donations for those in need,” Senator Boyle added.
Upcoming Event: Senator Boyle and the Bay Shore Boy Scout Troop 43 will host a Food Drive on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Shoprite, 1905 Sunrise Highway, in Bay Shore.
