CONGRESSMAN CHARLIE RANGEL AND BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT RUBEN DIAZ JR. TO ATTEND VETERAN’S FORUM
United States Congressman Charlie Rangel and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. are among the elected officials that have confirmed their participation in the First Bronx Public Forum on Veterans Affairs to be conducted this Friday, October 4, 2013 from 9:00AM to 12:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Lincoln Hospital located at 234 East 149th Bronx, New York.
According to Senator Diaz, “This forum has been organized with the purpose of dealing with those issues that are affecting our men and women that after exposing their lives to defend and protect our nation, find themselves ignored and abandoned by our different branches of government.”
The Veteran’s forum has been organized by State Senator Ruben Diaz together with the Bronx Council for Veterans Organization, The Bronx Borough President’s Advisory Council on Veteran Affairs, The National Association of Black Veterans Bronx Chapter 0029, The Incarcerated Veteran Consortium Inc. and The Bronx Veterans Parade Committee.
Other Elected officials that have confirmed their attendance are: State Senator James Sanders, Assembly Members Luis Sepulveda and Carmen Arroyo, Councilwoman Maria del Carmen Arroyo, George Koltipyn from the Wounded Warrior Project, Mr. Samuel Spitzberg, General Council N.Y.S Division of Veteran Affairs and Mr. Terrance Holliday, Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Veteran Affairs.
