Senator Rev. Diaz to hold 9AM Monday Morning Press Conference with Family of 10-year old Rape Victim
Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz and the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization are calling upon elected officials and community leaders to join them at 9AM on Monday, June 24, 2013 outside the Bronx Criminal Court located at 265 East 161st Street to stand beside Mrs. Maria Reyes, the loving grandmother of the 10-year old girl rape victim, calling for justice.
Senator Rev. Diaz stated: "While this is a very happy time of year for many Bronx families who get to celebrate the achievements of our children and watch them graduate, I call upon my colleagues in government to stand with me and Maria Reyes and the family of the little girl who was sexually assaulted by her teacher last week. I am calling for justice and for a thorough investigation of any other complaints filed against Anthony Criscuolo to be sure that no other children who trusted him as their teacher has also been harmed."
The accused pedophile, Anthony Criscuolo, will be appearing in Bronx Criminal Court one week after his arrest for raping the 10-year old girl. On Thursday, Mr. Criscuolo was arraigned on charges that include rape, predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
