Rochester, N.Y. – Sen. Ted O’Brien applauds the members of the New York State Assembly for choosing Joe Morelle as their Majority Leader.
“I’m not surprised by his selection at all,” O’Brien said. “Joe is incredibly well respected by his colleagues in the Assembly.”
“This is great for upstate New York and for Rochester in particular,” he added. Having a local assemblyman with intimate knowledge of the region and its needs on the Assembly’s leadership team will ensure that the greater Rochester area’s concerns are heard and addressed in Albany, he said.
The senator also said that he looks forward to working together with Assemblyman Morelle on issues of vital importance to Western New York and the Finger Lakes region.
