Senator O'Brien to Recognize Poster Contest-Winning Fairport Student

What:
Senator O’Brien will be meeting with a student at Martha Brown Middle School in Fairport who won the 55th District’s Earth Day poster contest.
He will be presented with a certificate and a copy of his poster that was displayed in the halls of the Legislative Office Building in the state capital complex in Albany.

Senator O’Brien and the student will be joined by Martha Brown principal David Dunn and Fairport superintendent Dr. Jon Hunter.
The State Senate Earth Day Poster Contest is designed to encourage children to develop an awareness of the environment and its resources and learn about the importance of recycling and waste reduction.

Sen. O’Brien represents the 55th district in the Senate, which is made up of the eastern half of Monroe County and the western half of Ontario County, including much of the city of Rochester.
