Senator Bill Larkin Announces $75 Million Increase in Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (Chips)

Senator Bill Larkin (R,C,I, Cornwall-on-Hudson) announced today that the 2013-2014 New York State budget includes an increase of $75 million in funding to the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS). This funding will allow municipalities to repair and improve their local roads, bridges and highways.
"I am very pleased that the final budget includes this $75 million in additional funding for the CHIPS program," said Senator Larkin. "Our municipalities depend on this critical funding to maintain our local roads and bridges and this increase will keep New Yorkers safe and our infrastructure running smoothly."
