Senator Espaillat Continues to Fight for the NY DREAM Act

By a margin of only two votes, the Senate has failed to pass the DREAM Act, that would have given young undocumented New Yorkers the chance to attend college, pursue a career, and make their parents proud.

There are no words that will ease the pain and disappointment that the nearly 4,000 Dreamers who graduate from high school in our state each year are experiencing. But we cannot give up on hardworking young people trapped by our broken immigration system, and this fight will continue.
