Funds will assist with renovation of town hall
ALBANY - Senator Catharine Young (R,I,C- Olean) announced today the approval of the Town of Busti’s grant application as part of the State and Municipal Facilities Program. Through the program, the Town of Busti has been awarded $50,000 for renovations to the town court, the Community/Senior Center, and town administrative offices.
“The grant for the Town of Busti will result in a tremendous boost for the seniors who use the facility regularly, as well as for those appearing before the court. By providing residents with greater availability to needed services, resources, and community activities we can ensure that everyone is able to play an active role in their local government. Most importantly, the town’s facilities will now be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, ensuring that all residents are afforded equal access to the town’s facilities,” Senator Young said.
Town of Busti Supervisor Jesse Robbins adds “The completion of the Busti court rooms and community/senior center is vital to the future of our town. Before, this renovation was only on our agenda. Now, it will become a reality. On behalf of the entire Town of Busti, our unending thanks to Senator Catharine Young for her efforts in securing this grant, as well as for all of the Senator’s incredible hard work for the past 16 years.
The $50,000 grant received by the town will assist with modernization of Town Hall, making the courtroom ADA compliant, as well as improving the Community (Senior) Center and town offices.
