Senator Carlucci Hosts 3rd Annual Senior Fair

According to U.S. Census Data, there are more than 45,000 seniors residing within Rockland County alone. This amounts to nearly 15% of the county's total residential population.

Today Senator David Carlucci teamed up with Rockland Community College to host their third annual Senior Fair at the College. The Senior Fair was a unique opportunity for senior citizens to learn about new opportunities related to healthcare services, recreational and educational programming, non-profit assistance, financial services, and more.

This event allowed seniors to continue aging-in-place while taking advantage of the community-based services that make independent living possible

This year over 100 vendors attended the event as well as a full list of speakers including the Nathan Kline Institute and the Rockland County Sheriff's office.

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland) said, "Today I hosted our third annual Senior Fair to give seniors the opportunity to learn about new opportunities and services in our community. This year we had over 1000 residents and over 100 vendors with a full list of guest speakers. Thanks again to everyone involved in organizing this great event."
