Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently visited Rushmore Avenue School and Cherry Lane Elementary School in Carle Place to thank students for participating in his annual holiday toy drive.
Senator Martins' toy drive is an annual event which brings extra holiday cheer to children in need. All the toys collected by the Carle Place students will be donated to children in Winthrop University Hospital.
“The over 200 toys collected by the Carle Place students are going to bring many smiles to children in Winthrop Hospital. I thank the students for participating in this program and working so hard to help make a difference in the lives of other children. They should be very proud of themselves,” said Senator Martins.
