Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently visited Rallye BMW in Westbury to help kick off the annual Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association’s (GNYADA) annual coat drive.
The drive is an annual event organized by GNYADA in partnership with New York Cares to give winter coats to individuals in need. GNYADA collected over 4,000 coats through last year’s coat drive, with the Rallye Auto Group collecting over 1,400. The Rallye Auto Group helped kick off the 2014 drive by making a donation of 220 coats, valued at $20,000.
Residents wishing to donate a new or gently used winter coat can find a drop-off location near them by visiting New York Cares’ website at www.newyorkcares.org/coat-drive or GNYADA’s website, www.gnyada.com.
